What are the biggest challenges facing your child on a daily basis?
Adapting to the world around him; transitioning and predicting.

His random moments of affection, reading Harry Potter and listening to his amazing thoughts and reflections on some of the most unusual things.

Has your special needs child had an effect on your marriage?
Are your family and friends supportive?
My family is very small and I have an intimately small circle of friends who are exceptionally supportive and inspiring. Without my parents our lives would be a lot less manageable.
What has your child taught you about yourself, both positively and negatively?
My son has taught me resilience and patience. Through his life I’ve learnt to actively observe without being intrusive and to parent for him and not the expectations of society.
Do you take time out, if so what do you do to relax?
I try and expose my son to the diversity that this world has to offer.
I enjoy writing, it is the one place where I can submerge myself into being me.
What has made the biggest difference to your child's quality of life?
Friendship.
What is your dream for your child?
Happiness.
